DUA CEO recognised at Asian Business Awards
DUA’s CEO was shortlisted for Business Personality of the Year at the annual Asian Business Awards.
Rakesh Dua, the charismatic face of the company, was nominated by Paul Dukes, DUA’s Head of Business Development and Strategic Alliances.
Paul said: “Rakesh Dua stands out from that crowd with his attitude, passion, energy and the exemplary way he supports the community and champions the people around him.
“While the past three years have been challenging for all businesses, Rakesh has led the company into a growth period bolstered by his actions during the pandemic. Throughout COVID, he supported small and growing businesses by hosting online workshops and making himself available to be a panel member for virtual conferences, allowing him to share his advice to help those struggling.
“He wants to see DUA be more than just an accountancy and business consultancy. He wants the business to stand up as a first-class example of how to support those around through action, participation and enablement.”
At the glitzy event at Westminster Bridge Park Plaza in London, hosted by the Asian Media Group, Rakesh joined more than 500 guests including London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who announced the 2022 Asian Rich List.
Rakesh said: “It was a wonderful evening with fantastic company. I felt honoured to have been shortlisted and included alongside some great names in Asian business.”
In addition to the 13 business awards, the evening also marked the 50th anniversary of Asians being forced to leave Uganda with the Pearls of Uganda awards.
